As cliché as it may be, one of my resolutions for 2014 is to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Although many people think resolutions are an unnecessary way to make ourselves feel disappointed when we don’t achieve our goals by the years’ end, I find that the New Year represents a fresh start and new beginning. The key, however, is to pick realistic resolutions.

Over the past few months I lost a pretty substantial amount of weight that had accumulated over previous winter seasons spent eating way too much and staying active way too little, so my number one healthy lifestyle goal is to avoid repeating that pattern this year. I’ve never been able to commit to going to the gym every single day, because – let’s be real—this hair takes work and just the thought of doing it on a daily basis (or…
