Glenn Cunningham is a person that made me admire him, just by reading his life background it was really shocking how he had faith , and didn’t let the doctors amputate his legs . He took it like a strong man because if he wouldn’t of had faith he would of let the doctors amputate his legs. It did take him two years to walk like a normal person but , he he knew that it was for his own good so , he was patient about taking therapy and after the two year he was able to work his walking ability’s again and he competed in both the 1932 Summer Olympics as well as the 1936 Summer Olympics. Cunningham st a world’s record in the indoor mile run of 4:04.4. He retired from competition 1940. Cunningham has a park named after him in his hometown of Elkhart, Kansas. I think that he really is a person that didn’t give up and reached what he wanted.
